A guest lecture was organized by the Department of Multidisciplinary Studies on ‘ICT for Smart Farmers- Current Practices and Future Perspectives’ on 24th of November 2022. The talk was delivered by Mr. Prasad Piyasena, an Additional Director General of Sri Lanka Institute of Development Administration (SLIDA). Mr. Prasad Piyasena with his extensive knowledge and experience on smart solutions for agriculture and aquaculture could effectively educate the audience about the current global trends, and the opportunities for smart agriculture/aquaculture. The event was a live session with the active participation of ~ 100 participants and several staff members from the FUAB and FAS.
