The Department of Multidisciplinary Studies (MDS) offers course-modules common for all degree programmes offered by the Faculty of Urban and Aquatic Bioresources. The spectrum of the Department includes a diverse array of disciplines ranging from Entrepreneurship and Business Development, Information Technology, Chemistry and Mathematics, to disciplines such as artificial intelligence, nanotechnology, advanced algorithms, bioinformatics, GIS, remote sensing and spatial analysis. These advances in technology are expected to groom the graduates of the Faculty to the world of cutting-edge research and will let them explore the possibilities and opportunities of incorporating these novel technologies to cater the needs of a knowledge-based bioeconomy.
